Altamont Reformed Church is a congregation of the Reformed Church in America (RCA). We belong to the Schenectady Classis and the Regional Synod of Albany. Church representatives regularly attend the meetings of these bodies.

The Consistory is ARC’s governing board and includes five elders, five deacons, and the pastor. Consistory members are elected by the congregation for two-year terms (maximum of two consecutive terms). The Consistory is supported by standing committees that focus on these important areas:

ARC has a newly adopted policy on church communications, and has a Communications Team in place. You can download copies of the Communications Policy and Procedure (including the Photo Release Form) and the Team Design (including contact people for various publicity efforts).

Statement of Purpose

The Altamont Reformed Church is a community of Christian believers called by God to be a part of the living Body of Christ, to worship God our King, and to obey Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Enabled by the Holy Spirit, we pledge to study the Bible and live the Good News. We endeavor to serve and care for each other and to reach out to the world, sharing God’s love and inviting all to join in joyful discipleship.
