CROP Hunger Walk in Albany, 2017
The 38th annual Albany CROP Hunger Walk will take place on Sunday, May 6. Last year, 350 people raised over $95,000 to combat hunger, and 25% of the money raised came back to the Capital District to support food pantries and soup kitchens The remainder was used for global hunger relief and development projects. For more information about the CROP walk, to register as a walker, or make a donation, visit www.crophungerwalk.org/albanyny. ARC is already registered as a team with Kitt Jackson as the team captain.
The Cornerstone Protestant Campus Ministry at UAlbany will be moving out of the Interfaith Center at the end of the current semester. The University has promised them meeting space in the Campus Center, but there are no kitchen facilities there, so that will mean an end to the popular "Faith and Food" evenings with congregational partners. ARC will be sending a group to prepare and serve a meal and to lead an interactive devotional time on April 10.
