A community of believers

The Altamont Reformed Church family invites you to share in our worship and join in our fellowship. For more than 125 years, the church has served Altamont Village while reaching out to nearby communities, the Capital Region, and the world.

An opportunity to help HIV/AIDS ministry

Throughout the month of June, as has been our custom for many years, there will be a collection of non-perishable grocery items, paper goods, and cleaning products for the Jim Perry House and Arvilla House. These two residences, one for men and one for women, are operated by Support Ministries for Persons with AIDS. The residents are semi-independent, but work together to plan and prepare their own meals and keep the home and their rooms clean. Gift cards to Stewart's and Price Chopper (or cash to buy them) would also be welcome, so that meat, dairy products, and fresh fruits and vegetables may be purchased. Look for the chart in the back of the Sanctuary, sign up for one or more items, take a post-it to stick on your grocery list, and bring all items back by June 25. The Benevolence Committee thanks you for your faithful support of this ministry!

ARC family thanks
Rev. Roger Krutz

As Rev. Roger Krutz concludes 18 months as transition pastor at ARC, the congregation gathered on June 11 to thank him and his wife, Diane, for their faithful service.

The Krutzes were given a framed color photo of the church, plus gift cards and numerous thank-you notes and messages.

Rev. Krutz's last Sunday worship service will be on June 25. As he is also retiring at the end of June, his departure from ARC will also end his 41 years of ministry in the Reformed Church of America.
