A community of believers

The Altamont Reformed Church family invites you to share in our worship and join in our fellowship. For more than 125 years, the church has served Altamont Village while reaching out to nearby communities, the Capital Region, and the world.

Matthew van Maastricht to serve as ARC's pastor

The Consistory is pleased to announce that the Rev. Matthew J. van Maastricht has accepted our call to be Minister of Word and Sacrament at Altamont Reformed Church. We anticipate that Matthew, his wife Marie, and their nine-month-old son Hendrik will be arriving sometime in August.

Please be praying for our new pastor and his family as they say their goodbyes to the congregation at Calvary Reformed Church in New Berlin, Wis., and prepare to make the move. May God also prepare each of us to wholeheartedly welcome them and to join them in the ministry God has planned for us.

We're also preparing a welcome basket for the new pastor and his family. Everyone is welcome to contribute gift cards to local businesses such as Stewart's, Subway, the Home Front, and Agway, as well as food items, paper products, soaps, etc. Personal letters of welcome are also appreciated. Choose your "sticky note" at the back of the sanctuary.

Lemonade on the Lawn

Lemonade on the Lawn, our mid-summer fellowship event, is scheduled for Sunday, July 23. Rev. Phil Grigsby, Executive Director of Schenectady Inner City Ministry (SICM), will be
our guest preacher. After worship, lemonade and other goodies will be served on the lawn (weather permitting), providing an opportunity to talk with Phil and each other. A free will offering, designated to help with the expenses of furnishing our new pastor's study, will be received.

ARC's Sunday worship service will begin at 9:30 a.m. from July 2 through September 3. There is no Sunday School or Coffee Hour during the summer months.
