'First Monday' Community Dinners

The Free First Monday Community Dinners are back!

ARC hosts a free spaghetti dinner on the first Monday of every month from October through June, with servings from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Everyone in the Altamont community is welcome to join us for dinner in the ARC Fellowship Hall. On the menu: spaghetti with meat (or meatless) sauce, bread or rolls, salad, and homemade dessert.

Please park in the lot behind the church and use the rear entrance. Our handicapped accessible parking spaces and entrance are located on the north side of the building across from the parsonage.

Volunteers are needed! Volunteering for a dinner isn’t just work, it’s lots of fun, energizing, and meaningful. It may provide an opportunity to meet new people or get to know someone better. Each month we need:

• Pre-meal Fellowship Hall set up (usually the Sunday before the dinner, after worship): Tables,
  chairs, place settings

• Persons to set up the beverage table and make coffee and lemonade

• Greeters

• Kitchen Help: Food preparation, cook spaghetti, or clean up

• Servers: Main meal or dessert

• Person to reset table settings

• Persons to make desserts, often cupcakes

• Post-meal Fellowship Hall clean up

There is a monthly sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall. Sign-up there or call the church office at 518-861-8711. If you can give ARC just one month a season as a dinner volunteer, it will be greatly appreciated. However, beware, you just might want to volunteer again!
