Worshiping

  • What to Expect

Worship is the beating heart of our ministry. We gather Sunday mornings to approach God, receive God's grace in Word and sacrament, and respond to God's grace. Our Sunday worship helps us to organize our lives around these movements. In our worship service we sing, pray, read scripture, and hear a message by our pastor or a guest preacher.

Do you have children? Great! If you would like a break, we have a nursery for young children. Do you want to keep your children with you? Great! And don’t worry about them making noise. When we say we are a church family, we mean it.

  • Hybrid Worship

In addition to meeting in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday, members of the ARC family have the option of joining in worship on Zoom. Please click here for the link to connect by computer or smartphone and the number to connect by telephone.

  • Music Ministry

Anyone who likes to sing is welcome to join the Chancel Choir. Rehearsals are usually on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. If you're interested in singing in the choir, please contact the Church Office Administrator (nancymacarc@gmail.com).

  • Weather Emergencies

Whenever it is necessary to cancel a service due to a weather emergency, the following steps will be taken to notify the congregation:

-A message will be placed on the church’s answering machine (518-861-8711).

-A sign will be posted on the church door next to the parking lot.

-A notice will be placed on the church Facebook page and website.

-Members of Consistory will make an effort to call the homes of individuals and families who typically worship on Sunday mornings.
